The snow sculpture on the green just collapsed completely. Apparently snow sculptures don’t like it when it’s 40 degrees and raining. Also, Oak Hill is a mess. Will this be the Worst Carnival Ever? I hope not!
I am skiing on a pair of classic skis that Scottie leant me which are stiff and have a wax pocket situated very far foreward. My project is to learn how to ski to make them kick; this will entail having good body position with my hips forward. The idea is that I keep that form when I go back to skiing on my own skis…. and voila, my classic technique will have improved!
There are some picture’s up on Lincoln Benedict’s Smugmug page. This one from Saturday makes me look fast. Probably because it was on the flat! This one is funny; what do we think I’m looking at? Over on Flying Point Road, I have gameface.
